Making the toddler bed switch

We have less than 3 months until baby brother arrives so we thought it was time to get Hunter acquainted with his new room! We finally got his bed and dresser together. I was really dreading switching him to a big bed since he has always been a good sleeper for us. I was kind of afraid he wouldn't like being in a big bed and also afraid that he would cry when we put him down and just climb out of bed. Well so far so good! We made the switch last Friday and he has spent 5 nights in it and 6 naps in it so far with no problems! YAY! We made sure that we told him mommy or daddy gets you out and Hunter doesn't get down and so far he has listened wonderfully. He still tells us every now and then that he wants his baby bed or he points and says sleep in this bed. But, we just say nope no more baby bed for Hunter! I ordered a video monitor so that I could try and catch him right away if he did wake up and climb out. He seems a little scared when we put him in at first but if we sit there with him for a few minutes he is usually out like a light. At nap time I have had to rub his back for a few minutes as well but of course he went right to sleep for both babysitters. So, I'm hoping he gets better about just going to sleep like he did before. However, we can't complain! He wakes up a litter earlier than he did when he was in his crib but its still usually 7:00 so I can't complain about that!

Here are a few pictures of his new room.... Jared has a few deer heads he thinks need hung up as well. Do you see why I need a girl now?! haha :)

Don't worry the cabinet is locked... we don't really have room for it elsewhere and it matches his decor I suppose. Shelves are filled with deer related stuff...
I was trying to take pictures and he happen to be standing there with my vacuum that he stole and he said cheeeeese, haha

This is the night stand I painted and put new handles on... it was re purposed into a small toy box
I hope he continues to do well in his bed! If so, then that was easy! Hoping baby #2 follows in his footsteps!
