Pregnancy update 28 weeks

I have not been so good about blogging with this pregnancy! It is hard to find time with a toddler! This pregnancy is flying by and we are already in the 3rd trimester! Braxton Hicks contractions started around 20 weeks. I don't even remember if that's normal or not but it seemed a little early to me... who knows. I hope this baby waits a little longer than Hunter did to make his appearance, but by no means do I want to go over my due date either! A week or 2 early would be lovely :) We get out of school May 30th and I'll be 38 weeks so maybe he will wait till school is out if we're lucky!

I have been feeling pretty large lately! I still don't feel like this one moves as much as Hunter did though, but it could be that I'm busier too. He does get the hiccups a lot though, so cute! I have gained right at 20 pounds and I'm 28 1/2 weeks. I hope I don't gain much more but I have a feeling it will be 10-15 more at least... yikes!

We finally got the boys rooms done this weekend. Hunter made the big boy bed switch, and I put all the newborn clothes in the wash and then hung them up! I can't believe how many newborn clothes we have! I am so thankful we don't have to start all over with buying things because we sure do have a lot!!!

Our biggest accomplishment this week is probably that we FINALLY agreed on a middle name! We have decided his name will be Lane Isaac :) Can't wait to meet him!

Making the toddler bed switch

We have less than 3 months until baby brother arrives so we thought it was time to get Hunter acquainted with his new room! We finally got his bed and dresser together. I was really dreading switching him to a big bed since he has always been a good sleeper for us. I was kind of afraid he wouldn't like being in a big bed and also afraid that he would cry when we put him down and just climb out of bed. Well so far so good! We made the switch last Friday and he has spent 5 nights in it and 6 naps in it so far with no problems! YAY! We made sure that we told him mommy or daddy gets you out and Hunter doesn't get down and so far he has listened wonderfully. He still tells us every now and then that he wants his baby bed or he points and says sleep in this bed. But, we just say nope no more baby bed for Hunter! I ordered a video monitor so that I could try and catch him right away if he did wake up and climb out. He seems a little scared when we put him in at first but if we sit there with him for a few minutes he is usually out like a light. At nap time I have had to rub his back for a few minutes as well but of course he went right to sleep for both babysitters. So, I'm hoping he gets better about just going to sleep like he did before. However, we can't complain! He wakes up a litter earlier than he did when he was in his crib but its still usually 7:00 so I can't complain about that!

Here are a few pictures of his new room.... Jared has a few deer heads he thinks need hung up as well. Do you see why I need a girl now?! haha :)

Don't worry the cabinet is locked... we don't really have room for it elsewhere and it matches his decor I suppose. Shelves are filled with deer related stuff...
I was trying to take pictures and he happen to be standing there with my vacuum that he stole and he said cheeeeese, haha

This is the night stand I painted and put new handles on... it was re purposed into a small toy box
I hope he continues to do well in his bed! If so, then that was easy! Hoping baby #2 follows in his footsteps!

Hunter 20 Months

Only 4 months away from being a big brother and 4 months away from being 2! Wow! I am loving this little boy more and more each day. He is so loving and just the best little boy we could ask for! He plays so well with other kids- unless he is pulling hair! When he is around his big cousins he usually has to fight back for toys and stuff since they're bigger and older and I think he thinks he has to do that when he is around Brynlee too! He sure does love playing with them though! He laughs constantly and loves people! I'm so thankful for that! I see some kids who won't go to other people or won't play with other kids and it just makes me so thankful for him and his personality! We took him to get his last set of shots yesterday and thankfully he won't have to get any more until he is 5. Those shots are awful for him and for me! Hunter is in the 90% for height at 34.5 inches and he is in the 88% for weight at 29 pounds. Our doctor was super impressed with his vocabulary and how he can speak so clearly. She said most kids who do talk at this age are very hard to understand but she could make out every word he was saying and she even got to hear him say a sentence. We told her how he knows the numbers to 10 and knows some of his ABC's. I told her I was a little worried about him and his colors because he usually says everything is blue and green but she said he is very advanced and not to worry about colors until he is 3. But anyways we have a healthy smart little boy who we love very much! I have enjoyed December and January very much since I have had a lot of days off with him. It makes me wish I could find a career where I can be a home with him a few days a week every week! I guess having snow days and my summer off will have to do though.

He has gotten his appetite back and I am so thankful! I think he went through a rough period when he was getting in some new teeth but luckily he is back to eating everything we eat. We just made the switch from whole milk to 2% milk as well. I think that his brain development is just fine so no more need for the extra fat in whole milk anymore. Sleep schedule is still great with sleeping from about 8:30-8:00 am and nap time is still great too with one nap from about 1-3:30 most days. We will probably start on his new room in the next month or 2 and make the switch to a twin bed. I can't believe how big my baby is getting!

One of my favorite things he has said lately was when he walked by a candle and said  "happy birthday to you" haha I was so surprised he put the two and two together but I think he remembered from Noah's birthday that we sang that song and blew out candles!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures lately:

It's a BOY!

More blue, green, and camo is on the way for the Yager family! Hunter is getting a baby brother! We had our halfway sonogram last Friday and it was very obvious our little babe is a boy! I saw it on the screen way before our ultra sound tech even told us. Our baby boy looked great and was measuring more accurately with my last period rather than the first sonogram so since they usually go by the period date they are sticking with that! Baby is officially due Sunday June 15- Fathers day! I have a feeling this baby will already be here to celebrate with his daddy but we will see! He was measuring in at about 11 cm and 10 ounces! These next few weeks are going to fly by and we will get to see his sweet face again around 30-32 weeks for another 3-D sonogram!!

True feelings about having a boy: I was a tad disappointed at first because I had been shopping for pink and bows- my fault! However, I am SUPER excited that Hunter and his brother will be so close in age and they will be able to play on the same sports teams and hunt and fish together! What better best friend could we give our little Hunter than a brother! We are thrilled about having another sweet little boy to love! I think I was jealous that Jared will get to do fun things with his boys and momma will be left out but maybe I'll just have to join in on the fun or take a day of shopping by myself when they're older! That doesn't sound so bad :)

I am also happy that we won't have to buy a whole new round of clothes and toys! We are trying to save some money right now so that maybe a bigger house can be in our future... if we were having a girl there is no way I would be saving any money, haha!

We did a sweet gender reveal photo for our friends and family. Lydia Holste is amazing and she sure did capture the moment! Here are a few pictures

Pregnancy update- almost half way there!

I haven't done much blogging lately, but I wanted to post some of the pictures I have taken so far and do a little comparison between when I was pregnant with Hunter and this pregnancy.
We have our sonogram on Friday and I am so hopeful that we will get to find out if this baby is a boy or a girl! Right now, my gut feeling is a girl. This feeling has changed since the beginning when I was almost positive this baby was a boy... so we will see! I think I am just so anxious to know because I keep wavering back and forth between what I really think baby is... so I just want to know!

The similarities in both pregnancies have been: no sickness, not much weight gain so far (+4 pounds total weight gain at 19 weeks), craved pickles with both

Differences: feel like I am carrying higher this time, I was already in maternity with Hunter at this point and as of now my jeans and dress pants still fit normally. I have extremely dry skin this time, I have found that aveeno oatmeal oil works wonders during my shower. Craved lots of fruit juices this pregnancy (orange in the beginning and then pineapple later). I have had more acne breakouts this pregnancy- not a lot but more than I usually do. I have had headaches this time around too, Tylenol is my friend, haha.

I have been blessed with some great pregnancies thus far! No major issues and no sickness is what I'm most thankful for! I am starting to get stressed out with getting things done in time. We have a lot of rearranging to do in our house! We will be moving our bedroom to the current office off the living room, and we will be creating a new nursery if we have a girl she will get our old room. If this baby is a boy then we are moving Hunter to our old room and the nursery will stay the same. So, lots to do in the next 20 weeks! I am hoping to get started on our room transformation this weekend and then move on the the kids rooms! My biggest concern with switching rooms is what to do about the closet space, currently all closets are full! So, we will have to figure something out quickly!

Hunter 19 Months and pregnancy update

Hunter at 19 months is talking in phrases and sentences. He is still a great sleeper, sleeping from about 8:30-9am with one nap usually at 1 and lasting about 3 hours. He weighs about 28 pounds and is very tall. He is wearing 2T shirts mostly (some are still big) and 18-24 mo pants. He is wearing a size 6 shoe. He is going through a phase where he doesn't want to eat anything and I HATE it! I wish my good little eater would come back! If I can get him to eat anything it is a miracle. I hope I can find some foods he will eat again! I am constantly filling his cup up with his whole milk to make sure he gets some nutrients somewhere! He prefers regular milk to chocolate milk, silly boy... doesn't bother me though!

I have enjoyed my time off with him during Christmas break. I am not looking forward to returning to work; we have been having so much fun! Christmas was really fun this year! We had our first Christmas the Saturday before and one or 2 everyday until Christmas day. Hunter kept saying "open presents" every time we had one to go to. My favorite phrases he said were "looky there" "whoa dude!" and "oh boy!" with every gift he opened. He eventually started getting overwhelmed though and was over it by the end of the last one we went to. I think he had so many things to play with he didn't really know where to start! That is what happens when you have 6 Christmas' to go to! Phew! I am glad I have 2 weeks off. I couldn't imagine having to go back to work the day after! My house is STILL a mess and it has been almost a week now.

Pregnancy update:
I am now 15 weeks 4 days pregnant.and feelin great. I am craving pickles and pineapple juice. Every time I go to the store I have to get these two things. I know that is a lot of sodium and acid, haha so probably not the best things to eat/drink but hey it makes me feel good for the time being! If you were to look at the pickle jar in my fridge it would currently be out of pickle juice too; I know this is so bad but oh it tastes so good... until the stomach ache follows later. I go back to the doctor on Thursday for my 16 week appointment. After that we will get our sonogram scheduled for the 20 week appointment! It is seriously FLYING by this time around! My house is not near ready for another baby! We will be switching around some rooms and painting and making Hunter a big boy room with a twin bed! I can't believe my baby is getting so big! It sometimes makes me sad to think of him not being the baby anymore :( I am praying all goes well with this pregnancy and that Hunter adjusts okay to being a big brother! Can't wait to find out what we're having! Baby is approx 4 inches this week, and I have already felt the baby move! Will update again soon!

1.5 years old and baby #2 announcment!

At 18 months Hunter made a big announcement publicly! Here are a few pictures from out little photo shoot with the big brother :)

Jared, Hunter and I are very excited our family is expanding!

At 18 months Hunter is such a turkey. He is constantly making us laugh with things he says or does. We sure are enjoying every minute with him! Our days usually consist of juice, "nacks", books which Hunter tells us "up here, read it", Elmo or "gigbellies", lots of pictures of our cute guy, and playing with toys. He also loves to "weep and clean", if he sees a broom or a rag he will quickly want to start sweepin the floor and wiping anything he can. Although deer are still his absolute favorite. I've never seen a kid so obsessed with deer at such a young age. His next room will probably be camo and deer related because I love seeing how excited he gets when he sees those 2 things! He definitely gets that from his daddy! Jared can't wait to take Hunter out to the woods someday! He loves learning too and still repeats everything, even sentences now. My favorite thing he currently says is "sun shine down on me." Its part of a song on his gigglebellies DVD and the way he says it is so so cute!

New Baby Announcement!
We found out we were pregnant the first week of October.

We told our family and a few close friends on Halloween! I made a shirt that had a skeleton baby on my belly. It turned out pretty cute!

We announced it to the rest of the world on facebook at 12 weeks after we had been to the doctor and heard the heart beat, which was 155.

I have had zero morning sickness (both pregnancies). I am just now finally getting out of the tired stage too. I was extremely exhausted and usually in bed by 8:30 most nights during the first 3 months. My eyes just wouldn't stay open!

I feel like my muscles are stretched out from Hunter still and I am showing much quicker than I did with him! Unfortunately I have already gained 4 pounds with this little one! With Hunter I didn't gain anything until I was 20 weeks so I hope this weight slows down quickly or else I'll be huge in no time!

My official due date is June 19th according to a sonogram we had at 6 weeks. This is about a week off from what I had calculated. So, I'm hoping when I go to my next ultrasound they change it back to the 12th like I had thought originally! Either way, I am happy we were able to plan a June baby so it works out with my school schedule :)

I am so excited we get to find out the sex of this baby...  we had a surprise last time! I literally can't wait any longer and want to know ASAP! If we have another boy we should be set on clothes since Hunter was born in June as well, yay!

We already have names picked out for either a boy or a girl... just no set middle names yet.

I would be thrilled if we had a girl because... well what woman doesn't want a little girl to dress up! I would also love it if we had a boy since Hunter will be only 2 years apart from this babe! What better play mate could we ask for?!

I am a little worried at how quickly this pregnancy is moving along. It is SOOOO different when you already have one! Most of the time I forget I am even pregnant! I have a feeling the next 27 weeks are going to sneak up on us!

I am planning on using my chalkboard to track my belly growth with this baby and will post pictures soon :)
