Welcome Lane Isaac Yager!

Lane decided to come a few weeks early! This momma wasn't complaining about that! I have somehow gotten lucky with both of my kids coming before 40 weeks. I had planned Hunter's party the week before his birthday just in case Lane came early and I am very glad I did that! Saturday morning the day of the party Hunter and I were up at 6:30 starting to prepare for the day. I had so much food to make and knew I would be on my feet pretty well all day long but didn't think much of it. Well after I had been up for about an hour I started having contractions. I had had some in the last week but these felt different. I could feel them in my back and they were about every 5-10 minutes apart. My mom was in Montana for a work trip and she wasn't due home until Sunday night. I texted her and warned her that I was having contractions. I didn't honestly think Lane would come that day but warned her just in case! The contractions continued the rest of the morning and by about noon I was either so busy making cupcakes and cookies for the party that I didn't realize they were still going on or else they stopped. I wasn't sure but I was determined to get through this party! I mentioned to Jared that I was having contractions but neither one of us was too worried. We went on with the busy day and started celebrating Hunter's birthday at 3:30. After a long day we were finally home around 8 that night. We unloaded all of the gifts onto the table and floor or wherever we could find room and then I sat down to put my HUGE feet up. I didn't care that the house was a mess I just wanted to rest. That was a LONG day. Little did I know Lane had other plans! Like I said my contractions had pretty well stopped and I even texted my mom saying I think she will make it home cause I hadn't had any in awhile. Jared and I watched some T.V. and put Hunter to bed. Around 10:30 we got ready for bed. Jared was out instantly and I was having a hard time fallin asleep. I had only been in bed for about 20 minutes and I randomly had a very strong contraction. It was pretty intense! Lots of pain and lasted about a minute. I noticed that about 2 minutes later I had another one... and another one... and after about 10-15 minutes of these I was getting a bit worried at how painful they were! I decided to wake up Jared and just let him know. He was half asleep already and just kinda said okay... not sure what we should do I was just kind of hoping he would tell me if we should go in or not... But I decided to take a shower and then see if they were still happening as fast. After my shower I said okay we should probably pack our bags and head over to the hospital to at least get checked! So we called in family to come stay with Hunter and headed over to the hospital. It was about 12:15 when we got there and got up to our room. She checked me and said yep you are at a 6 and contractions are happening very close together so it won't be long! I was in shock! We called our parents to let them know we were in labor but I didn't want anyone coming up to the hospital. I will definitely do it like that again if there is a next time. It was nice to let them know and not have them all there waiting in the waiting room. I liked the privacy better and with Hunter it was the middle of the day so I had a full waiting room of people and I was constantly feeling like I had to hurry since they were all there. So I went from a 6-9 and fully effaced in just a few hours. It was going very quickly which meant very painful as well. Lane's labor was definitely worse than Hunter's! SOOO painful! After about 2 hours the doctor was getting concerned that Lane's heart rate was dropping so quickly. She was in there staring at  the heart monitor for a while and I was in so much pain I didn't really realize how serious it was. They decided to do an emergency C-section around 2:30 AM. They were kind of in a panic and it all happened so fast. The next thing I knew I was in the OR and Lane was born at 2:56 am! I was asking Jared does he have hair? Is he big? Does he look like Hunter?... I hated not being able to see him right away but was so relieved everything was over!!! He did have hair! He did look like Hunter! and no he wasn't big, haha. They took Lane and Jared out and stitched me up then brought me back to the room for recovery. Jared and Lane were back in my room with me in no time. I finally got to see our baby boy! He was so cute and looked identical to his big brother!

We have had such a good experience so far with having Lane home! He is just the best baby... just like Hunter was! So far anyways! Last night was his best night yet. He was fed at 9:30 and got up to eat at 2:30. Then he didn't wake up again until 7:30 am. I could not ask for a better schedule! I really hope he continues to be a good sleeper! So far he just sleeps all day and when he is hungry he doesn't even really cry he just whimpers or starts movin around so I know he is getting hungry! I told Jared we make some good babies! :)

Here are a few pictures of our new little love! 7 pounds 3 oz and 20 inches long! Love every bit of him!!! So thankful Lydia was able to capture such precious moments too!!

Pregnancy update weeks 30-34 and 35,36 week pics

It's hard to believe that at 34 weeks I was already in the hospital with contractions with Hunter! I am glad that Lane is holding off! I haven't had near as many contractions as I did before I went in at 34 weeks w Hunter. So, I think that Lane is planning on making this mama wait until closer to his due date... which is okay by me as long as he doesn't go late :) haha
At our 32 week sonogram Lane weighed 4 lbs 3 oz which is just one oz shy of what his big brother was at that point. They thought they could tell he had some hair already too! I'm very curious to see if he will look like his big brother!

Here are the latest weekly picture updates.

Unfortunately I have gained 30 pounds so far! Uhh! I just hope it comes off fast and I hope he doesnt weigh 9 pounds! Another 6 or 7 pound baby would be fine by me but unless he comes within the next 2 weeks I think he will pass that weight up quickly. School is out in 3 weeks and then I will welcome him to come!
Here are the sonogram pictures of our sweet guy! He looks like he might have big brothers cheeks, yay!
Besides gaining a lot more weight and having swollen feet, I can't complain! This pregnancy has been a breeze and I am praying that labor and delivery go smoothly too! Hopefully I won't have to push for 2 hours with Lane like I did Hunter... that was miserable and I'm really not looking forward to that part! Baby Lane you will be here shortly and we can't wait to meet you sweet boy!

Had to tag on week 35 and 36 pictures... never got a chance to take 37- or 38!

almost 2!

At 23 months Hunter is in size 7 shoe and 2T clothes. He is about average weight and a little above average height. He talks in sentences and is very clearly understood. He sleeps all night in his new big boy bed and is still wearing diapers. We tried a few weeks ago to get him potty trained before the baby came but that didn't go over too well. We will try again later when he's ready! For now, I guess we will have 2 in diapers :( Hopefully he catches on fast and can start potty training this summer!

We have been enjoying the sunshine lately! We took our first zoo trip as a family of 3 and probably our last as a family of 3! Hunter loved all the animals but his favorite were probably the hippos and the fish.

We are so excited the warm weather is here to stay! Hunter and Brynlee enjoyed a wagon ride and some popsicles this week!

Love this picture!

Hunter helping daddy cut up mushrooms! It's mushroom hunting season!

We have offically mowed a few times too and of course Hunter loves to ride daddys tractor!

Waiting on Brynlee's momma to finish up a client these two decided to catch up on some gossip :)

I am loving this stage of life! Hunter is so fun right now and this is probably his last month of being an only child! I'm trying to get some snuggles in and do some fun things with him before everything changes! We are excited to see our family grow! :)

30 weeks and counting

Here are a few more pictures of belly updates with baby Lane's pregnancy. I am still feeling great and getting more and more anxious to meet this little guy!

We had our glucose testing and all went well! We should get our last sonogram in 2 weeks! I am eager to compare his pictures with Hunter's and to see what they are saying he weighs. I am guessing around 4 pounds like Hunter was at this point but we will see!

Pregnancy update 28 weeks

I have not been so good about blogging with this pregnancy! It is hard to find time with a toddler! This pregnancy is flying by and we are already in the 3rd trimester! Braxton Hicks contractions started around 20 weeks. I don't even remember if that's normal or not but it seemed a little early to me... who knows. I hope this baby waits a little longer than Hunter did to make his appearance, but by no means do I want to go over my due date either! A week or 2 early would be lovely :) We get out of school May 30th and I'll be 38 weeks so maybe he will wait till school is out if we're lucky!

I have been feeling pretty large lately! I still don't feel like this one moves as much as Hunter did though, but it could be that I'm busier too. He does get the hiccups a lot though, so cute! I have gained right at 20 pounds and I'm 28 1/2 weeks. I hope I don't gain much more but I have a feeling it will be 10-15 more at least... yikes!

We finally got the boys rooms done this weekend. Hunter made the big boy bed switch, and I put all the newborn clothes in the wash and then hung them up! I can't believe how many newborn clothes we have! I am so thankful we don't have to start all over with buying things because we sure do have a lot!!!

Our biggest accomplishment this week is probably that we FINALLY agreed on a middle name! We have decided his name will be Lane Isaac :) Can't wait to meet him!

Making the toddler bed switch

We have less than 3 months until baby brother arrives so we thought it was time to get Hunter acquainted with his new room! We finally got his bed and dresser together. I was really dreading switching him to a big bed since he has always been a good sleeper for us. I was kind of afraid he wouldn't like being in a big bed and also afraid that he would cry when we put him down and just climb out of bed. Well so far so good! We made the switch last Friday and he has spent 5 nights in it and 6 naps in it so far with no problems! YAY! We made sure that we told him mommy or daddy gets you out and Hunter doesn't get down and so far he has listened wonderfully. He still tells us every now and then that he wants his baby bed or he points and says sleep in this bed. But, we just say nope no more baby bed for Hunter! I ordered a video monitor so that I could try and catch him right away if he did wake up and climb out. He seems a little scared when we put him in at first but if we sit there with him for a few minutes he is usually out like a light. At nap time I have had to rub his back for a few minutes as well but of course he went right to sleep for both babysitters. So, I'm hoping he gets better about just going to sleep like he did before. However, we can't complain! He wakes up a litter earlier than he did when he was in his crib but its still usually 7:00 so I can't complain about that!

Here are a few pictures of his new room.... Jared has a few deer heads he thinks need hung up as well. Do you see why I need a girl now?! haha :)

Don't worry the cabinet is locked... we don't really have room for it elsewhere and it matches his decor I suppose. Shelves are filled with deer related stuff...
I was trying to take pictures and he happen to be standing there with my vacuum that he stole and he said cheeeeese, haha

This is the night stand I painted and put new handles on... it was re purposed into a small toy box
I hope he continues to do well in his bed! If so, then that was easy! Hoping baby #2 follows in his footsteps!

Hunter 20 Months

Only 4 months away from being a big brother and 4 months away from being 2! Wow! I am loving this little boy more and more each day. He is so loving and just the best little boy we could ask for! He plays so well with other kids- unless he is pulling hair! When he is around his big cousins he usually has to fight back for toys and stuff since they're bigger and older and I think he thinks he has to do that when he is around Brynlee too! He sure does love playing with them though! He laughs constantly and loves people! I'm so thankful for that! I see some kids who won't go to other people or won't play with other kids and it just makes me so thankful for him and his personality! We took him to get his last set of shots yesterday and thankfully he won't have to get any more until he is 5. Those shots are awful for him and for me! Hunter is in the 90% for height at 34.5 inches and he is in the 88% for weight at 29 pounds. Our doctor was super impressed with his vocabulary and how he can speak so clearly. She said most kids who do talk at this age are very hard to understand but she could make out every word he was saying and she even got to hear him say a sentence. We told her how he knows the numbers to 10 and knows some of his ABC's. I told her I was a little worried about him and his colors because he usually says everything is blue and green but she said he is very advanced and not to worry about colors until he is 3. But anyways we have a healthy smart little boy who we love very much! I have enjoyed December and January very much since I have had a lot of days off with him. It makes me wish I could find a career where I can be a home with him a few days a week every week! I guess having snow days and my summer off will have to do though.

He has gotten his appetite back and I am so thankful! I think he went through a rough period when he was getting in some new teeth but luckily he is back to eating everything we eat. We just made the switch from whole milk to 2% milk as well. I think that his brain development is just fine so no more need for the extra fat in whole milk anymore. Sleep schedule is still great with sleeping from about 8:30-8:00 am and nap time is still great too with one nap from about 1-3:30 most days. We will probably start on his new room in the next month or 2 and make the switch to a twin bed. I can't believe how big my baby is getting!

One of my favorite things he has said lately was when he walked by a candle and said  "happy birthday to you" haha I was so surprised he put the two and two together but I think he remembered from Noah's birthday that we sang that song and blew out candles!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures lately:
