Lane 14 months

Well shortly after my last blog post Lane was a walking machine. It was about 5 weeks after his birthday when he officially took off on his own and hasn't really crawled since. He right away already knew how to get back up to a walking position after he fell without having to hold on to anything for help. He has started talking a little more as well. His new word for the month is bubba. The way he says it is sooooo cute! He puts inflection on the second syllable, adorable! So his total words so far are:

mama
dada
bubba
eeeee- means eat or drink
buh-buh- bye
uh oh
dee-uh- deer
mmmmm- he says this when he is eating, ha
we swear we have heard him say other things like hello, Lane, and ball

Other than walking and talking Lane's favorite things are to chase Hunter or be chased by Hunter. They did this around the ottoman the other night for a good half hour! They are both outside boys! Anytime anyone goes outside and Lane knows about it he will stand at the door and holler until he gets to go out too! He is still a climber as well. Luckily he doesn't climb on the kitchen table as much as he used to! That was scary! He loves the park and can climb up and down stairs now! He will even go down the slides by himself at the park!
He still LOVES food. I would say green beans and peas are among his top foods right now!

He is doing great after his tubes and has only had one round of sickness which involved tons of fluid drainage so he did get an ear infection in one ear. The other drained well. When he got sick he couldnt breath well and he gave up his paci! I know I should be excited about this because he gave it up on his own but I loved the way he looked with his paci! My little baby! I'm not gunna lie I have even tried to give it back to him and he just throws it!! :( He is growing up so quickly!
He weighs 25 pounds and is wearing 18-24 month clothes, 4 shoe, and 5 diapers. He is still a wonderful sleeper. This summer he has started sleeping in even more he now sleeps from about 8:30-8:30.
He is a fire ball thats for sure! Wouldn't trade him for anything! He is still my cuddle boy :)

Lane 13 months

At 13 months Lane STILL refuses to walk completely. He is getting a little more comfortable with it so hopefully soon he will take off and not look back! Mama is ready! Crawling outside in the dirt and grass is no fun!

He now has 6 teeth and I believe he is getting some more. He has been quite crabby lately so maybe its time for molars?

His favorite toys are any kind of toy balls! He is OBSESSED! He is always pointing at one and doing his "uh uh uh" noise until he gets it! He even thought a tomato was a ball and kept pointing until I gave it to him.

He is quite the mama's boy these days too! I can't get out of sight!

We finally have time trained to where he doesn't need rocked to fall asleep which has been a blessing! I miss rocking  my baby though! We usually just lay him down and after about 15 minutes he is asleep.

No more bottles! We kinda just cold turkey took away the bottle and he has done great!

He's a smart little guy! He's gotten used to pointing and doing his uhhh noise when he wants something so we aren't hearing many new words, but we know they will come soon enough!

HOLY CLIMBER! I've never seen a baby that climbs like this one! He can get on and off the couch, he can even get on the kitchen table! It is quite scary!

He is still right around 24/25 pounds and wearing 18-24 months clothes, size 4 shoe, and size 5 diaper. We have also discovered this summer that Lane is quite allergic to mosquitoes

!He gets welts like crazy! We have to spray him down really well before going outside, and unfortunately learned the hard way on that one!

Lanes Birthday Party

Lane's party was adorable! I couldn't have done it without the help of Granny. She made the decorations, cookies, chocolates, and more!

Lane is ONE!

Our baby is one! It has been such a joy watching you grow baby boy! And you have grown so quickly! We are still waiting on you to take off and walk! You know how if you could just get the courage to go go go! We have seen you walk across the living room and down the hall, but you still just prefer to be a lazy little guy and crawl (which is much faster,) or be held of course.

At one year Lane weighs 24.8 pounds and is 30" long. You are not quite as tall as big brother was at a year, but you are still in the 90th percentile for both weight and height so we will have another big and tall fella!

As far as foods go you love to eat! You aren't too picky either. Some of your favorite foods are peas, green beans, watermelon, blueberries, french fries, and eggs just like your brother!

You are a very smart little guy and understand a lot of what we are saying! You definitely know what walk means, because you usually scream when I tell you to walk. You know who mama, dada, and hunter are. You always pick up the phone and put it to your ear when I tell you to say hello! You have been screaming when you get mad lately! VERY LOUDLY! You also scream and hit when Hunter takes a toy or gets in your face. Hopefully you two will learn to get along as you grow, haha.
You are not a talker yet... you will say words and then I don't hear them again for quite some time. You used to say uh-oh all the time and I never hear it anymore! mama, dada, and no are your favorites though.

We are loving your little personality that you are growing in to and can't wait to see the boy you will grow into! Love you baby boy!!

Lane 10 and 11 months

We have had a whirlwind of a spring this year! So I'm combining 2 months into one blog post! Sorry, I'm behind! Lane has changed so much lately. He is becoming quite a little boy! He started crawling really good at 10 months, no more army crawl! He did a funky crawl for awhile where the stuck one leg out straight and drug it to the side while the other leg was bent in a crawling position. Our whole 10th month for Lane was spent at Donsbach's house. We had so much fun living there! Our boys really miss them, as do we! This is where Lane started saying uh oh! He would drop something and make a humming noise at the same voice as uh oh and then we started realizing what he was saying! So cute! This is probably his first REAL word besides dadada jabber. He also stared saying hiiii. He is funny with his words though he goes through phases where he says them and then I don't hear them again for awhile.

Poor guy has had a very rough past 3 months with ear infections. They have basically been non-stop since about February. He's been on every kind of antibiotic and none seem to clear it for more than a day and then its back. So, sleep hasn't been wonderful lately either! He is finally getting tubes on June 12th.

He is weighing about 22 pounds and still wearing size 4 shoe, 4 diaper, and 12-18 month clothes. His pants are needing to be 18 months though, he is quite tall for his age!

He is a garbage disposal when it comes to eating! He will eat anything you put in front of him! I usually feed him eggs and toast for breakfast, turkey dogs, cheese, fruit, or some kind of sandwhich for lunch, and then he eats whatever we eat for dinner! I'm so glad he doesn't have trouble swallowing food like Hunter did/does! We couldn't get Hunter to eat meat until he was about 2 1/2 or so. Lane seems to have no problem! He can even eat steak! He still has only 4 teeth too. It looks like some more top teeth are coming in on the sides and his gums feel swollen in the back for some molars to come in soon as well! At 11 months we ditched the formula and switched to regular milk! WOO HOO!

He is not an awesome napper like Hunter was either. He will sometimes take two naps but sometimes its just one... If he takes two they're usually about an hour each, and if its one nap its usually 2 hours. Unfortunately we started having to rock him whenever he stood up in his crib too. So it takes him forever to go down for a nap and for bed! I'm hoping this summer we can break him of this habbit!

He pulls up on anything and everything but will not walk alone yet. Hoping soon!

We love you Laner bug!

Finally in our new house!

refuses to sit for any pictures!

Lane 9 months

Our little Lane is growing up and doing so many new tricks! His newest trick is pulling up in his crib to a standing position. He can also clap now! I bet he will be pulling up on furniture and then walking before we know it! I am not ready for that!

At 9 months Lane is weighin in at 22 pounds still. He has his official appointment this week so I'll get where he is on the charts after that. I believe he is slowing down though! He still seems tall but not near as chubby. I guess crawling everywhere is burning off some calories! He is still wearing 12 and some 12-18 month clothes, size 4 diaper.

He will no longer eat baby food. He wants nothing to do with it! I have started buying the little individual containers of veggies and he loves those. He can eat a whole container plus some! Its nice that he is so good at feeding himself too! His favorite foods right now are peas, green beans, corn, peaches, eggs, and mac n cheese! He wants to feed himself all of these foods!

He doesn't say many words yet. We have heard hi and dada. Officially his first word was hi though, haha. He still jabbers a lot just nothing we know as words.

His temper is growing! Diaper changes, and not getting what he wants will result in a full on scream with the legs kickin. This boy's temper is fierce! I believe he will be a strong willed child! He has such a sweet temperament too. He loves to cuddle and when you make him smile he buries his head into your shoulder for a hug. First thing in the morning he wants a hug too! There was one day he had snot on him and I already had my work clothes on so I tried holding him out and he threw a fit because he wanted snuggled right away! He still has a paci too. He isn't super attached though so I think he will be easy to break.

We are in the middle of packing up our house for our big move in the next 6 weeks! So, I hope the boys do okay with that! I don't think it will bother Lane except that we may have to live with my aunt for a week or so in between houses and Lane doesn't like the pack n play too well. So, we'll see how he does with that!

Time to lower the crib!!
